I got myself into a dangerous situation today; I thought the climb would be easier.
This picture is level to the horizon, so the ground is actually that slanted…(not good to fall on)

For reference, the white dot in the center is a medium-sized gatorade bottle.
It was two climbs, actually. Using the picture above, I first scaled the line on the right. Then, the center line, marked by the bottle. I thought the second and longer one would be less difficult because the ridge was more prominent.
And it was under a bridge, here are two more views:

I estimate the center one at 18 ft. This one was the dangerous one.
It was filled with daddy-long-leg spiders, and the foot/hand holds were small, but decent…except on the top. The decent holds were spaced out awkwardly, making me have to risk more shifting of the body weight than I would have liked being so high up. My body weight wasn’t firmly planted for the top portion because of this.
This makes one concerned, being on an 18 ft. climb.
In the end, I didn’t have to really do any dangerous, leap of faith moves to get out of it, but it made the knees a little wobbly, being a bit more difficult than I bargained for.
I really haven’t done much that has been truly dangerous, but this one was an exception.
To Another Day!
